Federation was planning a series of events aimed at alleviating hunger in NJ. These events would be attended by families throughout our community and we realized that we needed to create a series of posters not only to help promote the events, but also to be visible at the events themselves. We wanted to show some of the shocking statistics of what is happening right now in our own backyards in order to energize and motivate our volunteers. Rather than using traditional photography which might have appeared "too graphic" for children, we decided to use colorful graphics that would be attention-getting and invoke conversation amongst the viewers. Many of the facilities (and my co-workers) have continued to leave these posters on display.
